Patrizio Landolfi (Battipaglia, 1954) is an internationally renowned artist.
He has exhibited at Pall Mall in London, at the Punshkinskay in St. Petersburg, at the Bhakti Center in New York, at the Magazzini del sale, the prestigious home of the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice made available during the 2017 Art Biennale, at the Mediolanum of Padua on the occasion of the visit of the members of the Guggenheim, at Palazzo Medici Riccardi in Florence, to the grand gala of the Prince Albert of Monaco Foundation, at Art Basel Miami, among others.
His works are collected all over the world: the Butterfield family of which the famous Stewart is the inventor of FLICKR and SLACK, is among them.
Patrizio Landolfi began his experimental research in the early eighties by retracing some of the artistic paths from the Renaissance to today, taking inspiration in particular from the great themes crossed in the twentieth century.
Abstractionism is the language he favors. The freedom of expression and the ability to move without limits of time and space led him to cross the frontier of the finite, fragmenting the composition of his subjects. The artist works in layers that finally manifest themselves as mosaics made through a particularly wide palette. The fragments are often crossed by channels that enrich the works with a three-dimensional aspect. The enchantment of color also reveals hidden truths at first glance.
In the FRAGMENT / ACTION exhibition at the Castello di Gabbiano, Patrizio Landolfi presents about thirty works from 2015 to today, an opportunity to admire the artist’s vast path.
