Yesterday we did not miss the big emotions during the meeting with Mauro Corona at the 29th Tignano Festival for the Environment and the
Meeting between the Peoples. The affection and the curiosity of the many present were perceived strong from the beginning.

A recognition more than a prize, defined by Mauro Corona, attributed by the Cultural Committee of Tignano to pay homage to the many years during which the
alpinist, sculptor and writer from Friuli has sensitized public opinion on many issues related to the environment, to nature and life through his
works and his interventions on the media. A painting by the artist Patrizio Landolfi entitled “The Day After” the recognition in question; a mixed
technique on canvas that is part of the series “Le fragmentazioni”.

After presenting an anthology in the Palazzo Medici Riccardi last year and following a personal exhibition at Pall Mall Gallery in London, Landolfi is preparing another personal for the next weeks at the Mediolanum Art Gallery in Milan. “Beyond what may have happened the day before, every time the sun rises we are offered new opportunities to do better and be better – said the author, back from the Night of Museums in St. Petersburg – and that’s how we can make sense of the intelligence and the conscience that distinguishes us as human beings “. On the stage, together with the president Paolo Gianni and the painter, the journalist Domenico Guarino who enjoyed moderating a histrionic and amusing Corona who underlined the beauty of an effective language used in the novel “The Way of the Sun” presented during the event. Among quotes by authors such as Fernando Pessoa or Jorge Luis Borges, there are many hilarious moments of the evening where Corona even confessed his own conflict in relationships of love with the other sex.

According to the author, women do not make themselves the right place that deserve in society but rather cling to illusory cultural models that devalue the centrality they should have. In other passages the determination, depth and sensibility of the “Corona pensiero” has been felt: the fundamental importance of parents in the formation of children, the beauty of sharing the simplest moments of daily friendship, the central value of the present time and the illusory nature of a policy that persists in promising and not maintaining. His thought and naturalness have somehow reminded of the sacred approach of American Indians to Mother Earth; a nature that is ultimately generous, that offers us gifts and speaks to us, but that we do not listen to, forgetting to be an integral part of it as guests without a necessarily preponderant role. Source: Tignano Festival Press Office
